Bellaire Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
The Bellaire Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to support a graduating Bellaire High School senior who plans to continue their education at a full-time college, university, or trade school in the fall of the same year.
This scholarship is designed to recognize students who demonstrate a strong connection to the Bellaire community, a commitment to personal growth, and a desire to use their education to make a positive impact—locally or beyond.
Applicants must:
Be a graduating senior of Bellaire High School
Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school full-time beginning in the fall
Submit a complete application by the stated deadline. The Bellaire Chamber Board of Directors will select the recipients from all applications received no later than 2:00 pm on third Friday of April of current year (April 17, 2026). No late submissions will be accepted.

Essay (approximately 250 words)
Essay Prompt:
Describe your educational goals and how attending college or trade school will help you achieve them.
Share how your experiences in Bellaire have shaped who you are today and how you hope to give back to your community—either during your education or in your future career.
You may also include leadership roles, community involvement, work experience, or challenges you have overcome.
High School Transcript
One Letter of Recommendation
(From a teacher, counselor, employer, coach, or community leader)
Proof of Acceptance or Intent to Enroll
(May be submitted once available)
SUBMISSION:
Ask your principal to complete the enclosed report and place it in a sealed envelope with his/her signature across the seal.
Place all the above materials in a large envelope and drop off to the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce, 308 E. Cayuga, or mail to: PO Box 205, Bellaire, MI 4615 Attention: Executive Director.
Applications will be evaluated based on:
Community involvement and leadership
Clarity of educational and career goals
Connection to the Bellaire community
Overall effort, character, and authenticity
Award Details
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Recipient Announcement: The recipient will be notified by first Monday in May of current year (May 4, 2026) The winner will also be announced at the Chamber Awards Gala on May 14th, 2026.
Funds will be issued directly to educational institution. The scholarship is a one-time sum that will be paid upon proof of a successful first semester of college/technical school (Fall of current year).
